O'Ree, who was legally blind in one eye, made NHL history when he suited up for the Bruins in a game against the Montreal Canadiens on Jan. 18, 1958. The 22-year-old O'Ree was called up from the Quebec Aces as an injury replacement for Boston. He was sent back down after two games.
Girgensons, who is from Latvia, was preparing for his eighth season in Buffalo after being re-signed to a three-year, $6.6 million contract in October. Selected by the Sabres in the first round of the 2012 draft, he has developed into a dependable checking-line forward.
"I think goaltenders, you're going to see it this year just how valuable they are, not just the two that are on the ice, but the depth of the organization so we feel like we're in good shape with regard to that," Laviolette said.
“Everybody knew each other’s jobs, everyone was helping each other out,” he said. “We were playing a much better brand of hockey, just getting used to the new system.”

A drop from 2.27 FPPG in 2018-19 (a Victor Hedman range) to just 1.68 FPPG in 2019-20 (more of a Ryan Suter range) was a stark difference to Chabot's fantasy value.
